Born Jennifer Ann Agutter, on Dec 20, 1952, in Taunton, England, Great Britain.

Whenever Hollywood needed a pretty, laid-back yet well-mannered actress with a quintessentially English air of unperturbability — which, during the 70s and 80s, was apparently all the time — Jenny Agutter was there to answer the call. She became the darling of Britain at eighteen for her role in The Railway Children (the movie version, although she was also in the TV series and TV movie versions), then left it for a somewhat anonymous but prodigious career in the United States as the ubiquitous “Hey, it's that girl!” actress, as in “Hey, it's that girl from Logan's Run,” or “Hey, it's that girl from An American Werewolf in London”. Even now, in her fifties, when a game of “Six Degrees of Jenny Agutter” is not so easy as it once was, she's still working steadily, a feat in part made possible by the fact that she's physically held up pretty well over the years, allegedly still being able to wear the dresses she wore when she was seventeen.
