Born on Aug 19, 1982 in Seattle, Washington, USA . Reportedly 5' 6".

The flower of Montessori schooling (“Discover your desks, children!”, to quote the Simpsons spoof), homeschooling, and a Scientologist upbringing, Erika Christensen first became a blip on the pop cultural radar in 2000 on account of her gritty, award-winning performance in Traffic, a blip that might have been bigger if so many people in the audience didn’t confuse her with the then better known Julia Stiles. Since then there hasn’t been a lot to distinguish the two in terms of their careers, and even now many people still have trouble telling them apart. Admittedly, it takes a trained eye, but here’s the general rule: Julia has the conventionally cuter face, but almost no breasts; Erika has an excellent rack (something she loves to show off at award shows), but her face — with those permanently sleepy eyes (one often just a little sleepier than the other) and lower lip that seems too high up to ever expose her lower teeth without great effort — is beautiful more in a wabi-sabi sort of way.

Of course, in the rock-scissors-paper of life, a cutish face with curves still beats a cute face without curves, which is why someday — soon, I expect — it’ll be Julia Stiles who’s confused with Erika Christensen and not the other way around.
