I think I’ve sat through more and dumber films on account of the stunningly voluptuous but generally underused Jennifer Connelly than for any of the others listed here. The Hot Spot, Career Opportunities, The Rocketeer — I almost ran out to go see Mulholland Falls, but I must’ve blinked because it disappeared before I got the chance. I’m no Hollywood insider, but I’d say it’s high time she got a new agent. Sure, she’s gorgeous, college educated, and speaks French, Italian, and a few words of Japanese, but as one of her heroes, the Dalai Lama, might ask, if an actress makes a movie in a forest and nobody sees it, does she still have a career?
