Born Eliza Patricia Dushku, on Dec 30, 1980, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

“I don't know what it is about me that makes the casting agents think I’m a bad girl” Eliza Dushku once mused, but between her prominent frown lines, laugh lines, Peter Lorre eyes, and “WB girl” body, it’s hard to imagine her as anything else, a typecasting fate most clearly cast in Bring It On:

“Smile,” commands the pretentious choreographer.

Eliza smiles as sweetly as her harshly Dutch and Albanian features will allow, but the unnatural display is quickly blocked out by the choreographer’s hand.

“Don’t smile,” he says disdainfully.

Of course, like any actor, sooner or later Eliza will tire of playing the same sort of character over and over again, and her career will be pocked with occasional “good girl” roles as she attempts to demonstrate her versatility. And of course none of these other roles will matter much, for just as Pamela Anderson's genes and personality have conspired to make “airy sex kitten” the role she does best, so Eliza’s have conspired to make “scene-stealing badass” the role she’s remembered for long after her star in Hollywood fades.

(Alas, “scene-stealing naked badass” will probably never be among her memorable roles: “You’ve got a better chance of seeing God,” she told Sky News, “than seeing Eliza Dushku nude. That’s my stuff, nobody else’s.”)
