In a town famously bristling with generic Malibu Barbie blondes hoping to be discovered, it may seem odd that Hollywood’s latest Malibu Barbie, Alice Eve of the She’s Out of My League hype machine, was in fact imported from Britain.

That is, until one learns that Alice is part Angelino, having spent her formative years (from 8 to 13) in Los Angeles. “The tween years are the time you fall into line with the culture you’re in and so I identified much more with being a Los Angelean than I did with being a Londoner,” she said in an interview for Broadway.com. “The girls at school wouldn’t let me talk in an English accent because they didn’t understand me. I had to learn their way of speaking, and it’s served me well as an actress.”

Still, in an industry still dominated by the more unique beauty of Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, and even her clone-apparent Megan Fox, is there any hope for Alice’s more common brand of beauty?

Of course there is.

Why? Big jugs, naturally. If Alice Eve is pretty in an unremarkable sort of way above the neck, she’s plenty remarkable below it — which may be the only way to explain how she was reportedly named the 6th “Most Eligible Woman in Britain” by Tatler in 2003 when her first film didn’t come out until 2004. It’s also how she got onto this site.

So if she can just avoid any more gotcha-type gaffes if and when she becomes famous (assuming She’s Out of My League doesn’t tank — although, judging from the trailer alone, it may very well), Britain’s Malibu Barbie may indeed find a lasting place for herself in the Hollywood pantheon.
