It’s not that she’s particularly striking or beautiful — her face and body are largely indistinguishable from any other Hollywood beach bunny/starlet — it’s the talent for comedy (usually satire) she brings to most of her roles that makes Monique Gabrielle stand out from the vacantly bouncing throngs of 80s B-movie actresses. Of course, most fans are more interested in her tits than her wit, but unfortunately for them, Monique, like so many other actresses who become popular for getting naked on film, decided after she made Emmanuelle V that she was done working nude.

But the story has a happy ending: unlike most sex icons who start to take themselves seriously and stay out of film while bitterly waiting to be showered with “serious roles”, Monique quickly accepted that she is and loves being — despite her managers’ advice to the contrary — a sexual exhibitionist (she was raised by nudists, after all), and that while she may never get the respect Meryl Streep commands, at least she’s spending her time acting and not busing tables waiting to act. Hence her body of work to date, with very few exceptions, stands completely naked. She’s even upgraded the tools of her trade, each breast now as big as a torpedo (38DD at their biggest) and just as hard. Everybody wins.
