Born on Jul 3, 1979 in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, Yvelines, France.

Ludivine Sagnier has been appearing in feature films since she was ten years old but, of course, it was not until she started appearing naked in them at 21 that she began to attract any real notice. And why not? Her face may look a little Chloe Sevigny-ish at times, but when the clothes come off — as they have in half the films she’s made since she turned 21 — it becomes plain how she became France’s newest sex kitten. (Sexual charisma and a great rack go a long way in any country.)

Not that Ludivine especially wants to be France’s newest sex kitten, and she’s quick to remind us that she does play other roles. “Every time they ask me too much about nudity or being a sex bomb,” she says, “I say something about Tinkerbell...”

Ah, yes, the Tinker Bell movie. Good film ... or so I’ve read. Didn’t see it. I have, however, seen Swimming Pool, and most of her other, racier films. Call me immature, call me puerile — call me “Peter Pan” — but “frequently naked vixen” is the role I (and the rest of the world) will remember Ludivine best in.
