Born on Nov 14, 1962 in West Orange or Hoboken, New Jersey, USA. Reportedly 5' 2".
A film critic once gushed, “Laura San Giacomo exudes a wise-talking, sweaty sexuality that does not preclude tenderness. Black eyes alive with self-knowledge, sensuous mouth at once mocking and vulnerable, she floods the screen with heat at every feline move.” Famous for her sexy role as Andie MacDowell's lusty sister in Sex, Lies, and Videotape, she now seems to be trying to dismantle that image with her stubbornly unsexy role in the TV sitcom Just Shoot Me. Which is probably why the show's focus shifted from her to David Spade. This seems to be a lesson every actress has to learn the hard way — if your fame rests mostly on your sex appeal, don't desexualize yourself and still expect people to tune in.
On the other hand, there may be other, more sinister factors at play here. Consider this: In most any successful show where one of its actresses has a fairly attractive body, some reason will inevitably be found for that actress to be dressed to show that body off. Cleavage equals ratings, and Laura's ample chest could certainly make her a ratings cow if the network so ordered. And it probably would — except that Laura's breasts, large though they may be, often seem to hang very low on her. Like down by her stomach. Too low for prime time, perhaps, unless supported by special bras that don't look good in skimpy tops. And that, ultimately, might be the reason why even in Sex, Lies, and Videotape we never see even a little cleavage. In Under Suspicion we see quite a bit, but only when she's bent over so that they're supposed to hang. I know this is a rather goofy conspiracy theory, but people email me about Laura's rack all the time and this is all I've got.
(I should say for the record that I have absolutely no knowledge of Laura's actual cup size or other measurments. Yes, I am aware that her breasts, like the universe, seem to be continually expanding. I've also heard the rumors that she's had a baby, which might explain a lot of what's going on under those sweaters, but other than that, I really don't have anything but conjecture to offer.)
Oh, another question people are always asking me is “Has Laura done any nudity?” To date, the answer depends on which version of Under Suspicion you’re watching, and how clear a copy you’ve got. (The widescreen version’s the one you want, and even then you’ll need frame advance to catch it.) Now while I've never been a fan of fake nude pix, I recently came across a few that were done well enough that I thought I'd offer them here to the horny masses. Enjoy.

What a Drag It Is Getting Old

Some people have wondered why Laura is on this site, insisting that her mustachioed face is downright tough on the eyes. I haven't seen Just Shoot Me in ages, but sometime between the show's first season and Laura's appearance on Rosie magazine, Laura's looks admittedly hit the wall. Hard. The thing to remember, of course, is that Laura didn't always look like this, that it's for the younger, pre-Millenium Laura that this page has been errected. Laura in her prime was a potential sex icon that was seldom used; Laura on prime time is a different matter altogether.
