I haven’t looked at a Sports Illustrated in years, so the odds of me knowing who the current reigning Sports Illustrated model is are pretty slim.
In any case, it apparently isn’t Kate Upton.
No, the only reason I know who Kate Upton is at all is the same reason most non-Sports Illustrated readers know who she is — by the viral circulation of a few photos taken by a Sports Illustrated assistant editor and posted to her Twitter account, and especially this one:
And in fact it’s this photo that convinced me to put Kate on The Iconophile at all.
Works for me. And yet, I find that I have mixed feelings about Kate:
- On the one hand: Nice rack. The mole’s a little distracting sometimes, but the more boob she shows, the less I notice the mole.
- On the other hand: Perhaps because of her youthful, slightly Britney-like face, perhaps because of something in her vapid, feather-light demeanor, Kate seems to me more like an underaged /b/ webcam exhibitionist than a model with any real staying power. Not that it won’t be a fun ride to watch while it lasts.
Still, on the other hand: Nice rack. And in the end, that might be all that matters.
