Born Deborah Sue Voorhees on Jul 28, 1961. Reportedly 5' 6".
Sometimes it’s best to retire early and leave a beautiful corpse.
“I never thought I was very smart,” the former Playboy Club waitress and “Best Body” award winner said in an interview with ReelMovieFX.com, “And so I thought I better do something with my looks while I could.”
And for a short time — from 1982 to 1987 — Debi Sue Voorhees did exactly that, most famously as the best endowed of the naked dead in 1985’s Friday the 13th: A New Beginning. After that she effectively withdrew from acting while waiting for more serious roles that never came and writing scripts that never bore fruit. Eventually she turned to copy editing, which she continues to do to this day. But unlike so many other b-movie actresses on this site, whose shots at Hollywood immortality lie forgotten in the pre-DVD dustbins of history, Debi Sue Voorhees, though by no means a household name, will live on among slasher fans and North Korean heads of state as one of the main reasons to watch and keep making the otherwise ridiculous Friday the 13th sequels.
