Born Catherine Jones, on Sep 25, 1969, in Swansea, Wales, Great Britain.

Life lesson: When you start following a celebrity like Catherine Zeta-Jones around like a groupie, having her spied on when you can't follow her yourself, and generally contrive to be at the same place she is as often as possible with the hope of getting a chance to talk to her and win her affections, that's generally called “stalking”. Unless, of course, you happen to be a celebrity yourself — say, Michael Douglas — then it's called romantic.

From TV Guide:

APOLOGY ACCEPTED?

A woman charged with stalking Catherine Zeta-Jones has written the T-Mobile pitchwoman a letter apologizing for “any distress” she caused her, adding “it would be a wonderful good deed if you would all forgive me.” Dawnette Knight’s lawyer, Richard Herman, insists that his client would never harm anyone. “The worst thing she has ever been accused of was killing her ex-boyfriend’s goldfish,” he says, “and she says she’s innocent of that.” However, rumor has it the prosecution has a snapshot of Knight wiping tartar sauce from her mouth shortly after the little guy’s disappearance.

From TV Guide:

FATAL ATTRACTION

Catherine Zeta-Jones gave more than three hours of emotional testimony Wednesday at a preliminary hearing to determine whether her accused stalker, Dawnette Knight, should stand trial. The Oscar winner claims Knight sent her numerous letters containing death threats. In one note, Knight allegedly threatened to “slice her up like meat on a bone and feed her to the dogs.” Zeta-Jones’ hubby, Michael Douglas, also took the stand, saying he was “shocked, scared and stunned” after learning that his wife was “a marked person.” If convicted, Knight faces up to 19 years in prison.
