Emily’s 6.2 Million Reasons Why Not
ABC has decided to stop production of Heather Graham’s Emily’s Reasons Why Not after airing only one episode.
Why? Apparently only 6.2 million people could stay tuned in for the “Ally McBeal meets Sex in the City but with a hot chick to play Everywoman” hybrid.
Most articles note that this happened despite ABC’s heavy promotion of the show; I say it was likelier that the more ABC promoted it, the more evident it became to would-be viewers that Emily was a turd to be avoided.
