Michelle Williams in Brokeback Mountain

Well, anyone with a TV, radio, or internet connection has by now been inundated with glowing reviews of Brokeback Mountain. But apart from Ang Lee’s latest offering being an excellent film, it also handily demonstrates two things that haven’t been getting much play in the press:

Michelle Williams still looks good topless even when she’s playing the dowdy housewife;
Michelle Williams is one of the most underrated actresses working today.

Even with all the attention being lavished on Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, I have to think that Hollywood will finally start to take more notice of Michelle now that she got a chance to shine in a mainstream film — and one with long ticket lines, to boot.
