If Michelle Williams Strips and Simulates Sex in a Forest but No One’s Watching, Is She Still Naked?

Michelle Williams has gotten more naked and more sexually explicit than ever before, but unless you’re British or in the habit of trolling for celebrity nudity on the Internet, you’d probably never know about it.

The movie is called Incendiary, which opened in theaters late last year in the U.K. but went straight to DVD elsewhere. Unlike her previous moments of onscreen nakedness, this one is fairly long, graphic, and — until the end of it — played for titillation (her boobs are a wee postpartum-looking, but otherwise she’s much more glammed up than in her past nude scenes).

It’s the tragedy of being Michelle — still best known for her role as “Jen” in Dawson’s Creek and sometime Mrs. Heath Ledger in real life — that, as good and charismatic an actress as she is, she tends to appear only in films that have little chance of making it to the big screen, or staying there for long. At this rate she’ll have to sign on to The Brown Bunny 2 to finally eclipse her teen and marital careers, but somehow I get the feeling that even that will be too little too late.
