25th Hour

Not many people went to see it, and I’m not much of a Spike Lee fan myself, but the film is definitely worth renting or catching on cable. More importantly, it’s one of the best films Rosario Dawson has been in since Kids. And even more importantly, it’s the highest profile and most cleavagey Hot Chick role she’s had (Josie and the Pussycats doesn’t count, as it was more bubblegum than sexy), the sort of role that tends to open doors more than other ones. While this movie will hardly make Rosario a household name, I think it’s safe to say that it’s not just film geeks who know who she is now.
