Samantha Fox is getting married. Sort of.

Reports one article about it: “Samantha Fox, who rose to fame as one of the most popular Page 3 Girls in England, has moved in with her manager Myra Stratton, and the couple are planning to ‘marry’ in Hawaii next year. Fox, who became famous modelling topless for The Sun newspaper at age 16, had a brief career as a pop singer but is now working on her autobiography. She is expected to celebrate its publication with a lesbian ‘marriage’ to Miss Stratton in Hawaii, where such ceremonies are common.”

It’s been a while since I’ve thought about Samantha Fox, so the news came as a surprise — not the whole “lesbian marriage” thing, which seems little more than a variation of Dennis Rodman’s gender-bending wedding stunt for Bad As I Wanna Be (itself a variation of Howard Stern’s publicity tour for Miss America) — but that, in this day and age, there was news about Samantha Fox at all.
