A vacation for Sofía Vergara is a vacation for all of us

Built like Sofía Vergara is, it’s surprising that there haven’t been more photos like these from her recent vacation in Miami.

But then, she hasn’t had the hand-stamping validation of a hit show on the order of Modern Family until recently, either. At least not in the English-speaking world.

I myself am still largely indifferent to Modern Family — for all it’s merits, the jokes tend to be too easily predictable, the initial raison d’être of the couples mystifying, and the whole thing too closely hewn from The Office. On the other hand, any show that can pull in enough ratings to finally make Sofía guest-worthy of Hollywood’s various cleavage functions and stalkerazzi-worthy during her time off is a great show in my book.
