Career Eclipse

By now most Thora Birch fans have seen the new commercial for Eclipse gum. (If you’re one of those who haven’t, you can see it here in the video gallery.) I’m not sure if this is a step up or a step down — on the one hand, there’s been a lot of internet hubbub about the commercial by web pervs like me; on the other hand, it’s gum, and a brand I’ve never heard of before Thora started plugging for it. Why not some sort of cosmetic product like most actresses? At under a buck a pack, she’ll have to move an awful lot of gum before she starts seeing Jessica Alba money.
